Certifications & Compliance
Tested to EU, US and Australian Eyewear Standards
Every quotation states which standards apply to the models you are buying and which documents come with the order. Below is what is already on file, and how to obtain the copies your market requires.
Documentation on File
Certificates, Reports and Registrations
These are the documents our manufacturing partner currently holds. We only quote a standard for a product when we can attach the document that covers it.
CE Certificate of Conformity
PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, tested to EN ISO 12312-1:2022. Certificate no. UTT202503833C, issued 31 March 2025. The certificate names the covered models, including KC06-13A, KC07-15K and KC08-16K from our range.
Third-party laboratory report
Intertek test report no. SHAH01729242 (30 August 2024) for sunglasses to EN ISO 12312-1:2013+A1:2015, with UV400 performance noted for the submitted sample.
US market — impact resistance
For US-bound orders, lenses are supplied impact-resistant to 21 CFR 801.410. The document that covers your model and lens type is sent with the quotation on request.
ANSI Z80.3 — US lens standard
Lens transmittance, colour-limit and traffic-signal testing carried out on TAC and PC lens types. The dated test report is available on request.
Certificates and test reports are issued to the manufacturing partner that legally manufactures the goods. We only quote a standard for a product when we can attach the document that covers it — ask us and we will send the report with your quotation.
AS/NZS 1067.1:2016
Australian and New Zealand lens category testing on the same TAC and PC lens samples, confirming lens category and UV performance.
Material safety — SGS
Nylon lens material tested by SGS to 21 CFR 177.1500 (maximum extractable fraction) with PASS results for all four simulants.
Lens Categories
What the Numbers Mean for Your Market
Lens category is the single most misunderstood detail in sunglasses compliance. These are the tested values from our own reports.
| Category / property | What it means | Evidence on file |
|---|---|---|
| Category 2 | 18–43% light transmission. General purpose, moderate sunlight. Tested PC lens sample: 21.12% — PASS. | |
| Category 3 | 8–18% light transmission. Strong sunlight, water and snow. Tested TAC lens sample (ice blue): 9.09% — PASS. | |
| UV400 | Blocks at least 99% of UVA and UVB. Confirmed in the laboratory reports on file. | |
| Not for night driving | All three standards state that sunglasses are not suitable for driving in twilight or at night. Our reports record the same result. |
Lens category depends on the tint you order, not only on the model. Tell us the colour and the market, and we will confirm the category that applies.

- Certificates and reports are issued to the manufacturing partner that legally manufactures the goods; the holder’s details appear on every copy we send you.
- We do not claim a standard for a product unless we can attach the covering document.
- Tell us the destination market (EU / US / UK / Australia-NZ) and we confirm the applicable documents before you order.
- If your customer requires a test we do not hold, we can arrange third-party testing at cost.
